The Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) has pledged to maintain the robust working relationship it shares with journalists in Nigeria.
During a recent visit by the leadership and members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Correspondents Chapel, FCT Council, Alhaji Musa Mohammed, the President of RTEAN, reiterated this commitment.
This visit followed a 3-day football tournament organized by the Chapel for various organizations, associations, and government agencies in the FCT. Alhaji Mohammed, who was a Special Guest of Honour, expressed his gratitude for the recognition and honor bestowed upon RTEAN during this event.
In his remarks, Mohammed conveyed his excitement about the visit and the appreciation for the journalists’ efforts. He specifically thanked them for recognizing RTEAN and vowed to continue collaborating with the Chapel in all their endeavors.
Comrade Jide Oyekunle, the Chairman of the FCT Correspondents’ Chapel, praised Alhaji Mohammed’s dedication to fostering peaceful coexistence among RTEAN members across the country. Oyekunle commended Mohammed’s leadership style, which prioritizes legal recourse over violence, especially during a recent dispute with the Lagos State Government.
The visit aimed to strengthen the strategic partnership and collaboration between the Chapel and RTEAN, with a focus on deepening their existing relationship.
Oyekunle also extended an invitation to RTEAN to participate as a team in the next edition of the football tournament, highlighting the fruitful collaboration between the two entities.
